  About cockroaches

Cockroaches are insects that have closed-back wings, different sizes depending on the species, can be from 2 to 3 mm to 80 mm long, the body is light brown or black and they rarely fly. Common domestic cockroaches are American cockroaches (Periplaneta americana), Australia (Periplaneta australasiae), Germany (Blattella germanica), Oriental (Blatta orientalis), yellow-brown-banded cockroach (Supella longipalpa).

They grow through 3 stages: eggs, nymphs and adults. Depending on the appropriate temperature and humidity, eggs can hatch into nymphs after 1 to 3 months. Nymphs, also known as baby cockroaches, are usually wingless and only a few millimeters long. When newly hatched, they are white in color and become gradually black after a few hours. Young cockroaches molt and grow, developing into an adult cockroach after a few months to more than a year depending on the species, with or without wings.
